  • Rider substitutions after completed registration will need to be approved by the Race Director prior to Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Changes to team rosters will not be allowed after June 2. (Exceptions possible for injured riders.)
  •  A fine of $200 maximum per rider may be assessed at the Race Director’s discretion for unauthorized changes to a team’s roster.
  • Fines will be due at Packet Pick-up.

Information for All Registrants
  • A current USCF license and signed USA Cycling release form must be presented for each rider at Packet Pick-up.
  • The Nature Valley Grand Prix Technical Guide is posted at the top of the page.  It is available for download as a PDF file on this page and a limited number of paper copies will be distributed at Packet Pickup.
  • All riders will be held responsible for the information in the technical guide.

Important Notes:
  • The USA Cycling Event Release Form MUST be signed in ink by each rider. Faxes, copies, or other signatures of anyone else will invalidate these forms.
  • Licenses must be presented for all participants

Race numbers will be held for any participants without a license or completed entry packet

Important Time Trial Note

The Nature Valley Grand Prix will follow rule 1M1(h)

Time trial events may restrict the competitors to mass-start bicycles in one or more classes, provided that the restriction is stated in the race announcement and technical guide. This includes time trials in stage races.

  • Handlebars: Standard drop bars, no aero clip-on bar and no bull horns.
  • Wheels: No disc wheels or wheel covers
  • Wheels limited to a minimum 16 spokes for standard wheels. Wheels with fewer spokes must have passed the rupture test and be listed on the UCI web site under “Non-standard wheels in conformity with article 1.3.018”.
  • Helmets - No aero helmets or helmet covers. Riders must wear the same helmet that for subsequent stages Penalty: 20 seconds.

Race Specifics

  • Six Stages - One individual time trial, two road races and three criteriums
  • Entry Fee: Men - $195 per rider, Women - $125 per rider
Men
  • 3 - 8 Riders per team; no individual riders
  • Limited to 150 riders
  • Men’s Cash Purse: $25,000
Women
  • Individuals admitted, but preference given to teams
  • Limited to 150 riders
  • Women’s Cash Purse: $15,000
