Fixed Gear Classic

Three days of speed and excitement!  June 11-13, 2010
Back after a successful run in 2008, the MN Fixed Gear Classic brings world-class track cycling to the NSC Velodrome for three days in June.  This thrilling event kicks off the 2010 Nature Valley Bicycle Festival – the Midwest’s largest celebration of cycling.

The MN Fixed Gear Classic pits professional and elite amateur track cyclists in fast-paced sprint and grueling endurance events.  During the 2008 MN Fixed Gear Classic, Italian sprint superstar Roberto Chiappa thrilled the crowd, shattering an NSC Velodrome 200m TT record.  US National Champion Cari Higgins, Junior National Champion Colleen Hayduk and Masters National Champion James Tainter all tested their strength against the best track racers in the US.

The 2010 MN Fixed Gear Classic will feature a unique dual omnium program that showcases separate competitions for sprinters and endurance specialists. Cross-over races will bring sprinters and distance racers together in search of omnium points.

Events are scheduled for:
Fri June 11th - Results
Sat June 12th - Racing cancelled due to rain
Sun June 13th - Results
